Quick post! Quicker pattern!

FOR THE TINIEST OF TREASURES--THIS SACK IS JUST 1 & 1/2 INCHES TALL, WHEN CLOSED!


Materials: Size 10 thread
Size 6, 7, or 8 steel hook
Beads of your choice (8/0 seed beads in matte finish, mixed)
Some ribbon, or cord, or whatever you want to close the pouch with

Stitches used: sc, hdc, dc, tr, dtr, sl st



Ch 6, join with sl st to form ring

Rnd 1: ch 2 (counts as first hdc), 9 hdc in ring. Join with sl st in 2nd ch of beginning ch 2. (10 hdc)

Rnd 2: ch 2, hdc in same stitch, 2 hdc in each hdc around, join with sl st in 2nd ch of beginning ch 2. (20 hdc)

Rnd 3: ch 2, hdc in same stitch, hdc in next stitch, *2 hdc in next st, hdc in next st* around. Join with sl st in 2nd ch of beginning ch 2. (30 hdc)

Rnd 4: ch 2, hdc in same stitch, hdc in next 2 stitches, *2 hdc in nest st, hdc in the next 2 stitches" around. Join with sl st in the 2nd ch of beginning ch 2. (40 hdc)

BOTTOM COMPLETE

Rnd 5: Ch 1 (does NOT count as a stitch) Using FRONT LOOP ONLY, sc in each stitch around, join with sl st in back loop of beginning single crochet. (40 sc)

Rnd 6 through Rnd 16: Ch 1, sc in same stitch and in each stitch around. Join with a sl st in the beginning sc.

THIS GIVES YOU A 40 x 10 "GRID" TO BEAD AS YOU PLEASE! Be creative, and so something fun. Draw yourself a 40 X 10 grid and draw a pattern, or picture, or name on it, and make it! Don't forget: if you need to bead according to a pattern...bead the colors BACKWARDS!

Rnd 17: Ch 4, (counts as first treble crochet), tr in next stitch, ch 2, skip 2 stitches, *tr in next 2 stitches, ch 2, skip 2 stitches* around. Join with sl st in the 4th ch of the beginning ch 4. (20 tr crochet, 10 ch-2 spaces).

Rnd 18: Ch 1 (does not count), sc in the same stitch and in the next tr. In the next space crochet the following *sc, hdc, dc, tr, dtr, tr, dc, hdc, sc*, sc in the stitches between spaces all the way around, join with sl st in the beginning sc. Finish off. THIS ROUND WOULD BE LOVELY BEADED, TOO!

Thread your ribbon, cord, or crocheted chain though the openings left by the ch 2 spaces in round 17. Tie neatly!
